Prof. Dr. Ihor Kadenko is a professor and the Head of the Department of Nuclear and High Energy Physics of Physical Faculty, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv; also he serves as the Director of International Nuclear Safety Center of Ukraine of National Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv. He is Laureate of State Prize of Ukraine in branch of Science and Technique in year 2000.
As Head of the Department of Nuclear and High Energy Physics, Prof. I.Kadenko specializes in High Energy and Low Energy Nuclear Physics. He improved applied methods and nuclear technologies using practical tasks performance in medical and nuclear power.
Also, he discovered a new direction of Nuclear Physics: physics of two and identical nucleaon bound systems. Thus, search for a bound dineutron has a long history. Many research groups were trying to get it discovered. We were lucky to observe the formation of the dineutron in the neutron induced nuclear reaction on several nuclei. This discovery opens up a new direction in low energy nuclear physics and possible practical applications.
As Director of International Nuclear Safety Center of Ukraine of National Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv, Prof. I.Kadenko was involved into the process of lifetime extension of equipment and pipes at all Ukrainian NPPs. His work is dealing with In-Service Nondestructive examination of NPPs equipment and pipes as well as their strength assessment with regards to NPP safety operation enhancement.
Title of presentation: Discovery of a Bound Dineutron and possible implication for Hydrogen energy
