Prof. Dr. Zigmas Balevičius received his Ph.D. degree in 2008 in spectroscopy and laser technology in Institute of Physics, Vilnius/Lithuania. He was working in Institute of Physics, Nonlinear Optics and Surface Spectroscopy Lab. since 2003. Dr. Z. Balevičius had postdoctoral research at NanoTechnas – Centre of Nanotechnology and Materials Science, Faculty of Chemistry, Vilnius University. Now prof. dr. Z. Balevičius is a head of Plasmonics and Nanophotonics lab., Department of Laser Technology, SRI Center for Physical Sciences and Technology. In addition Z. Balevičius working as a professor in the Department of Electronics, VilniusTech. He is co-author of more than 40 scientific publications with high impact factors and a guest editor of special issue “Thin Films and Surface Optics” in Coatings MDPI journal. Prof. dr. Zigmas Balevičius focusing his research on plasmonics, nanophotonics, spectroscopic ellipsometry, surface spectroscopy, lasers, optical measurement systems, optical bio- and gas sensing, optics in the life sciences.
