Bogdan Voisiat finished his PhD in 2015 in the field of laser material processing. He worked in a laser microfabrication laboratory in the Center for Physical Sciences and Technology, Lithuania, as a research scientist since 2007 where he received his primary laser material processing experience. In 2016 he moved to Germany, where he has got a permanent position at the Technical University of Dresden as a senior research scientist. The Technical University of Dresden is one of Germany’s largest technical universities and one of the leading and most dynamic universities in Germany. Since 2012, TUD has been one of the “Universities of Excellence”. Bogdan Voisiat is now working in the field of laser-based surface patterning. He is the co-author of more than 70 scientific publications and 6 patents.
